I just received this Tour Edge CB Pro Wedge for review.
Tour Edge is a company that eschews the whole “staff player” marketing thing and instead concentrates its dollars on design and production.
The CB Pro Wedge is forged from 1025 carbon steel, and features what Tour Edge calls “MONGO” grooves. These are grooves with the maximum legal sharpness and width, layered with 28 micro-grooves to increase face roughness. The Mongo and Micro grooves are said to provide the best combination for spin control. You can see these in the photo.
Meanwhile the tour-grind sole is supposed to eliminate bounce from the heel for increased versatility.
The courses in Michigan are open now, so I’ll have a full review in a few weeks.
