INFINITI Partners with LPGA Volvik Championship as Official Vehicle Sponsor for Second Year
ANN ARBOR, Mich. — The LPGA Volvik Championship is proud to announce its partnership with INFINITI will continue for the second consecutive year.
“We continuously look for unique ways to engage consumers while also giving back to the community, and we are proud to be a part of this tournament that supports a variety of charitable organizations,” said Phil O’Connor, director, Marketing Communications and Media, INFINITI USA. “INFINITI aims for empowered performance both on and off the green, and we are eager to experience the enthusiasm of both LPGA fans and players.”
INFINITI, known worldwide for its high-performance luxury vehicles, will also award an all-new INFINITI QX50 luxury crossover to the first golfer who cards a hole-in-one each day of the 4-day, 72-hole LPGA Volvik Championship on the Travis Pointe Country Club, Par 3, 180 Yard, Hole #16, and during the Official LPGA Volvik Championship Pro-Am presented by Vertiv.
That means every golfer, amateur and professional, that plays in an official LPGA event at Travis Pointe Country Club from Wednesday, May 23, all the way through the LPGA final championship round on Sunday, May 27, has an opportunity to drive away with an INFINITI QX50.
“We are excited and proud to have INFINITI back as the official vehicle for the LPGA Volvik Championship,” said Tournament Director Keith Karbo. “Not every professional golf tournament has a hole-in-one prize, let alone a luxury vehicle prize such as the INFINITI QX50 that we have. INFINITI’s support is integral as we continue to grow this tournament.”
INFINITI is also the exclusive courtesy vehicle of the tournament and will provide vehicles for use by the LPGA Volvik Championship players, VIPs and staff.
More than 30,000 spectators are anticipated to attend the third annual LPGA Volvik Championship this week (today through Sunday, May 27)), at Ann Arbor’s Travis Pointe Country Club. The 72-hole championship tournament will attract the best female golfers in the world. The LPGA tour players represent over 30 countries with international television exposure in 170 different countries. Ariya Jutanugarn (2016) of Thailand and Shanshan Feng (2017) of China captured the first two LPGA Volvik Championship titles.
