I would tend to agree with that! I wonder how may tour players would have take that on? Seve would have I suspect.
lol. I’m used to playing crazy golf. Simple as that really. [It’s] not normally a shot on the golf course but I fancied it and thought I’d just hit it and it went well.
Matt … tell me what you were thinking at that moment. Were you just trying to get it to where you could take another shot, or did you actually think you could get it on the green?
Did you ever practice a shot like that? (I actually have, so perhaps you have also).
I’m not the best golfer in the world it has to be said and I do end up in a bit of trouble every now and then. The lads who I play with think I’m very lucky at the best of times and I normally get a good bounce when things go wrong. I have certainly never tired that shot and but on the day I did fancy it and I birdied the hole before so I had some confidence at the time.
Did I think it would get that close to the hole – no. Did I think it would get it on the green – yes… but the outcome was far better than I expected and it could have gone wrong too. But just right time and right place with a camera watching
