Interm Commish Marsha Evans seems to be doing good work for the LPGA. The Owens Corning Jamie Farr Classic in Toledo has just renewed its contract:
“I just want to commend (LPGA commissioner) Marty Evans and her team for their willingness to pursue a livable business model for us,” said Judd Silverman, executive director of the event.
The purse will drop to $1 million, but that’s better than nothing. And it saves a long-time friend of the Tour.
