Clubhouse Fire at Lakewood Shores: Grateful Everyone Is Safe

We’re saddened to share the unfortunate news that the clubhouse at Lakewood Shores Resort in Oscoda was completely destroyed in a fire overnight. While fire crews responded quickly and worked tirelessly to contain the blaze, the building is a total loss.

Most importantly — and what we are incredibly grateful for — is that no one was injured.

The safety of our staff, guests, and emergency responders is always our top priority. We are deeply thankful for the swift and courageous efforts of the local fire departments and first responders who arrived on the scene and acted with professionalism and care.

The clubhouse has long been the heart of the Lakewood Shores experience — a gathering place where friendships were made, stories shared, and the spirit of the game celebrated. This loss is deeply felt, but it will not define us.

“It’s a tough day for all of us who care about Lakewood Shores,” said owner Kevin Aldridge. “But we’re thankful that everyone is safe, and that gives us strength to move forward. We remain fully committed to restoring and improving the resort.”

General Manager Craig Peters added: “The clubhouse has been an important part of our story, but Lakewood Shores is about more than any one building — it’s about the people, the courses, and the community we’re proud to be part of. We’ll rebuild with that same spirit leading the way.”
