The Last Putt of Summer 2016

For posterity’s sake, here is the last putt of the summer of 2016. September 22 marks the Autumnal Equinox.

I sank the putt, in spite of the aeration on the greens. The flag is crooked because the bottom of the cup had sand in it, preventing the end from fitting into the slot. It was the same on most holes on the course.

It has been unusually warm this September. This afternoon, the temperature reached 91 degrees. I’m not complaining. There also have been years when I was already sporting long pants and a sweater by the end of September. Ten years ago on the same date, temperatures reached a high of 66.
