Six new courses have joined the line-up this year including the Club Golf de Chapultepec in Mexico and the Jack Nicklaus Golf Club in South Korea.
The Individual Championship will conclude in Indianapolis on August 15-17, while the Team Championship is decided in Michigan a week later.
Each event is played across three days. Tournaments are 54 holes in length and there is no cut. Fields comprise just 54 players – 52 of which are attached to one of the 13 teams.
There is an individual and team winner of each tournament. Points are awarded at each event and count towards the Individual and Team Championships.
LIV Golf 2025 – Players
Having acquired many of the world’s top players since the competition was first launched, there were no major additions to the roster ahead of the new season.
Northern Ireland’s rising star Tom McKibbin is the biggest name to move to LIV Golf for 2025 and he has joined Jon Rahm’s Legion XII team.
The opening event of the season was won by Polish golfer Adrian Meronk, who sustained a late charge by Rahm and Sebastian Munoz to claim victory.
Rahm will undoubtedly be one of the players to watch this term having won the Individual Championship and topped the money list in his debut campaign.
Bryson DeChambeau – whose Crushers GC side won the 2024 Team Championship – has also returned for a second season with LIV Golf.
Several former major winners are in the line-up including Cameron Smith, Dustin Johnson, Phil Mickelson, Brooks Koepka and Bubba Watson.
Ian Poulter, Lee Westwood and Paul Casey add some interest for golf fans in the United Kingdom, while Tyrrell Hatton will also be eager to make his mark.
