LPGA Volvik Championship Comes To Ann Arbor

The LPGA will arrive in Ann Arbor for the Volvik Championship Memorial Day weekend, May 6-29 at Travis Pointe Country Club.

Volvok, which is known for its brightly colored balls, has signed a three year agreement.

I, for one, am really excited. It’s a shame that the PGA TOUR can’t find its way back to golf-mad Michigan, but the Volvik Championship is the second LPGA event held in Michigan. The other, the Meijer LPGA Classic, is in Grand Rapids.

I’ve never played Travis Pointe, but it has a good local reputation.
