LPGA Volvik Championship Offers Michigan High School Golf Fundraising Opportunity

volvik logoThe LPGA Volvik Championship and the Michigan Interscholastic Golf Coaches Association have teamed to offer high school sports programs a unique fund raising opportunity. From March 28 to April 29, high school golf teams can sell tickets to the LPGA Volvik Championship, with 25% of their team’s total ticket sales returning as a donation to their team’s golf program.

The LPGA Volvik Championship will be held May 23 – 29 at Travis Pointe Country Club in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

“We are making this process very easy for the high school teams,” said Keith Karbo, LPGA Volvik Championship Tournament Director. “The teams will not be responsible for collecting any money or completing any forms. All ticket sales will be placed online with a special ticket sales promotional code that will be specific to each team.”

The girls’ and the boys’ golf team that generates the highest amount of ticket sales will each receive one playing spot for one team representative in the Official LPGA Pro-Am on Wednesday, May 25. (This fundraising opportunity is in compliance with MHSAA guidelines.)

The Michigan High School Golf Team Challenge presented by MLive will run from March 28 – April 29.
