Larry Bohannan of the Desert Sun reports that the LPGA has 14 events lined up for next year. The latest is the Acapulco LPGA Classic, which is scheduled for the spring and will have a $1.3 million purse.
While 14 is not exactly an encouraging number—the Desert Sun headline says “Only 14”—it’s better than than the ten the Tour was reporting a month ago. But it’s down from the 28 official money events in 2009.
Whoever is the next commissioner is going to have her hands full to get the Tour back on track.

IIRC, the “10” was domestic events only, so if “14” includes non-domestic events (like the Evian Masters going on right now), that may not be an increase at all.
