edited by Michael Patrick Shiels
Publisher: Skyhorse Publishing
In the mail for review was a copy of Secrets of the Great Golf Course Architects. The book is a collection of 118 essays from famous golf course architects such as Tom Fazio, Pete Dye, Rees Jones, Robert Trent Jones Jr., Arthur Hills, Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer. Each of the short pieces is intended to offers some insight into the golf architect’s craft, from the modern architect who decided to uses horses to sculpt bunkers, to the creation of the island seventeenth at TPC Sawgrass.
The book has 150 full color photographs and scores of drawings and blueprints.
I’ll have a review as soon as possible.
