Matt Adams / Fairways Of Life Expands Global Distribution

I’ve enjoyed Matt Adams in his appearances on The Golf Channel, but have never had the chance to listen to his Fairways of Life radio show because I was unwilling to shell out the subscription fees for SiriusXM. Now after more than ten years on the pay-to-listen network, Adams is expanding his program’s reach.

Starting on November 7, Fairways of Life with Matt Adams will be available free  via the Fairways of Life App (on iOS and Android), on iHeart Radio (90 million), TuneIn Radio (60 million) and on demand on iTunes, Spotify, Stitcher, Google Play, Twitter, Facebook, Spreaker and Amazon Alexa.

I suppose that means he no longer will be at SiriusXM. I also suppose that means he will be monetizing it with commercials.

Adams, who has been the host of the program since its inception in 2007, said “We are so excited to be able to provide in-depth golf radio content to all of the USA and around the world on air, on line and on demand for free. It makes it so simple now to find the Fairways of Life Show on whatever device consumers use to listen, whether it be live or on demand, through every major digital audio platform.”

I look forward to adding his podcasts to my listening. Daily is surely too much for me, but it would be great to have some golf content to listen to while I do my weights and cardio sessions at the gym. Right now, I my gym podcast regimen includes EconTalk, Freakonomics, FiveThirtyEight, I’ll Tell You What, Powerhouse Politics, the Secret Cabal Gaming Podcast and Michigan’s own Fore!Golfer’s Network with Bill Hobson.
