While you slept … Rory McIlroy shot a 67 to beat Tiger Woods in a silly-season payday match in Shengzhou, China. It was a big day for appearance fees, with McIlroy reportedly receiving $1 million, while Tiger cashed a check for $2 million.

Rory shot a 5-under-67, while Tiger carded a 68.

  1. From what I read the match generated a lot of interest in China. There was fireworks and a very lavish open ceremony.

    With so many golf lovers in China hopefully it will generate plenty of interest and grow the game over there.
