The 2016 US Amateur field has been reduced from 312 to eight. Starting at 1:30 this afternoon, the elite eight tees off in four matches on the South Course at Oakland Hills Country Club in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.

Nick Carlson is the only Michigan native still playing in the 2016 US Amateur at Oakland Hills. In a Big 10 matchup, the University of Michigan sophomore will face Dylan Meyer, a University of Illinois junior.
