Michigan’s Meg Mallon will serve as honorary host of the Tullymore Classic, a new Symetra Tour event to be played July 3 – 5 at Tullymore Golf Resort. Tullymore is located in Canadian Lakes, Michigan.
Mallon, who played junior golf in Michigan, has twenty wins and four Major Championshps on the LPGA TOUR. She also represented the United States on eight Solheim Cup teams. She won the 1983 Michigan Amateur and has been inducted into the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame.
“I’m honored that they asked and I’m excited to be a part of the Tullymore Classic,” said Meg Mallon. “My first two years as a professional were spent on the Symetra Tour and it means a lot to come full circle and be part of a Symetra Tour event.”
The Tullymore Classic is scheduled for July 3 through September 5. The field includes 144 professionals attempting an LPGA Tour card for the 2016 season. The winner will earn $15,000.
The Tullymore golf course was designed by Jim Engh and opened in 2002.
