Tension is the enemy of the golf swing. Incorporating a bit of a waggle into your preshot routine can help ease that tightness.
But don’t overdo it. Too much waggle distracts from the job at hand. It becomes an excuse to not hit the ball; a habit that becomes its own end. It’s sort of the full-swing’s version of the putting paralysis that some players suffer.
Worse, it makes you look like an idiot.
