Michigan’s Dave Kendall, two-time Michigan PGA Teacher of the Year and founder of the Kendall Golf Academy, will appear as a guest instructor on Morning Drive on June 7th and 8th.
Morning Drive broadcasts on The Golf Channel from 7-9 am, eastern time.
The founder of Kendall Academy of Golf at Miles of Golf in Ypsilanti, Michigan, Kendall is a terrific instructor. I have taken several group lessons from him, and also had a private session. He is a terrific instructor who does much more than teach the swing.
Miles of Golf is just two blocks from GolfBlogger World Headquarters.
Kendall was inducted into the Michigan Golf Hall of Fame in 2015 and the Michigan PGA Hall of Fame in 2013. He is also an accomplished player: among his playing titles are two Michigan Senior Open Championships, a Senior PGA Championshp and a Senior PGA Match Play Championshi, the PGA State Pro-Am, the Stae Pro-Pro three times and played on six Fuller Cup Teams.
Kendall also been honored by the Michigan PGA as its Golf Professional of the Year and Horton Smith Award winner for contributions in PGA professional education.
“I’m very excited for the opportunity to appear on Morning Drive and to share my favorite short game and full swing tips with the viewers at home,” said Kendall, who started his academy in 1997 after serving 17 years as a Head Professional at Cadillac Country Club in Michigan. “It’s been a great experience to be a part of the Golf Channel Academy network of coaches. The quality and diversity of the team is something I’m very proud to be associated with.”
David Kendall, 60, was a member of the PGA’s inaugural Professional Golf Management class at Ferris State and the first in the class to become an A1 PGA Member. His first head professional job was at Cadillac Country Club in 1981. Later, he moved south to Ypsilanti where he established the Kendall Academy at Miles of Golf.
