Mickelson Joins LIV. Full Field Set.
I think it comes as no surprise to anyone that Phil Mickelson has opted to compete in the LIV.
Mickelson’s tweet announcement says that he has been in therapyand “excited about this new opportunity.”
Dustin Johnson reportedly has been paid $125 million to play for the Saudi-backed, Greg Norman fronted league. Mickelson will no doubt command a similar sum. (update: GolfChannel is reporting $200 million)
Meanwhile, Norman has said that Tiger Woods was offered a deal in the “high nine digits.”
There is something about this whole thing that makes me sad.
Meanwhile, Rickie Fowler is not on the list, as many had expected.
