Mingay Golf

I ran across Mingay Gofl while wandering around the internet. He’s a golf course architect who is now running a neat little website. Here’s an extract from his bio:

Jeff Mingay has worked in affiliation with fellow Canadian golf architect Rod Whitman since 2001 – most notably on the design and construction of Blackhawk Golf Club in suburban Edmonton, Alberta, which was awarded 2nd place in Golf Digest magazine’s Best New Canadian course category for 2004. Blackhawk GC was also named one of the top-10 Best New International Courses for the World by The Golfer magazine.

A keen student of the history of golf and course architecture, Jeff participates in every aspect of golf course design and construction – including featuring shaping. He has traveled extensively to study the world’s best courses, and has addressed several groups, including the Canadian Golf Superintendents Association, on the subject of golf architecture.

While the website is primarily to promote his business (I, unfortunately, do not have the money to need his services), there also are articels that he has written on golf course architecture (a subject which has long fascinated me).
