A high school senior in one of my classes the other day pointed to my Citizen watch and asked how I could tell time with it. I admit that I was a little flabbergasted at how he could get through twelve years of school and not know how to use an analog clock. They are, after all, on the wall in every classroom he has ever been in. I took the incident as a teachable moment, however, and tried to explain about big hands and little hands.
When I saw this Movado watch, I thought about how this would just drive that student to the brink of madness. Big hands and little hands, but no numbers.
