It is one of the courses at the Pinehurst Resort but I played there long ago and many of the courses there and holes look much alike. I am fairly certain it is NOT No. 2.
You are correct that it is not No. 2. For what it’s worth, I liked No. 2 well enough, but it wouldn’t be tops on my courses to play if I ever return. I liked No. 4 better. That said, I am grateful to have had the chance to play the historic No. 2.
The photo is one of the less lauded, but I think more playable courses.
I agree with you. All the courses at Pinehurst are excellent and the variety will offer one a course or two that fits one’s game. My thought after playing No. 2 (prior to the renovation) was, I need to get a lot better or stop playing here.
