Beginning with his first appearance in 1963, Jack Nicklaus put together a remarkable twenty year run at The Open Championship. From 1963 to 1983, he finished worse than fifth just four times. Three of those were in the last three years of that twenty year span.

Nicklaus had three wins and seven seconds.
