October Golf Is Perfect
After taking a week-long golf long trip to Northern Michigan, I continued my autumn binge at Washtenaw Golf Club.
I honestly think there is no better time to play golf than October. The air is cooler, there is less rainfall than all but the winter months and the skies seem to me to be more blue (possibly because of the lower cloud cover).
And then there’s the color of the leaves on the trees. In Northern Michigan fall color is at it’s peak, but in the southeast corner of the state, we are just now getting to the point where all of the trees are showing their best.
As this is my first October since retirement from school teaching, I fully intend to keep binging until I can’t walk another step.
