Who is favored in the odds to win the US Open 2016?
Jason Day is the odds-on favorite to win the 2016 US Open, with bettors placing him at 13/2, or an effective 13.33 percent chance of winning. Day is currently World Number 1, and the winner of the 2015 PGA Championship. Absolutely no one would be surprised to see him walk away with the trophy.
Rory McIlroy is a perennial favorite, coming in at 15/2, or a 11.76 percent chance. If his driver is on …
Given his wizardry on the greens, Jordan Spieth is a good choice for the win at the US Open at Oakmont. Spieth is given 17/2 odds, or a 10.53% chance of winning.
My own sentiments are with Phil Mickelson. After six runner up finishes, I would love to see Lefty finally complete the career slam. Mickelson is in at 8/1, or a 3.45% chance of winning.
For a dark horse, how about Zach Johnson. The reigning (British) Open Champion has the sort of sneaky good short game and accuracy off the tee that matches well with Oakmont’s narrow fairways and tricky greens.
