Here’s a new angle: Tiger Woods is entered in a tournament and he’s NOT the favorite.
In fact, Tiger is THIRD among the bettors favorites, following Rory McIlroy at 15/2 and Lee Westwood at 9/1. Tiger is at 10/1.
Other favorites are Charl Schwartzel and Keegan Bradley at 25/1, Kyle Stanley at 30/1, Ben Crane and Graeme McDowell at 33/1, Justin Rose at 35/1 and a pile of guys at 40/1, including Mark Wilson, Robert Allenby, YE Yang, Jim Furyk and Padraig Harrington.
There’s quite a lineup at the Honda this year. It would be the perfect place for a player to make a statement against a quality field. A Tiger win here would legitimize his claim that “he’s back.” And a win by Westood or McIlroy would cement their aspirations to the #1 title.
A lot of others also could make a statement against this quality lineup.
