This has got to be a first in a PGA Tour Tournament: Seven of the ten players favored by bettors for a win at the Honda Classic are European or International players. Lee Westwood—the former #1—is the bettors favorite at 12/1. He’s followed by Luke Donald at 14/1 (and a former winner of the Honda), Grame McDowell, Matt Kuchar and Rory McIlroy at 16/1, Justin Rose at 22/1 and Ben Crane and Vijay Singh at 25/1. Ernie Els and Rickie Fowler round out the top ten at 28/1.
It does seem as though the momentum has swung to the side of the Europeans for the nonce.
