With no disprespect intended to the Wyndham Championship or the players who are showing up, following the very strong field at the PGA Championship, things look a little sparse.
Jason Duffner and Webb Simpson are the bettors favorites, coming in at 12/1. These are two solid players who I think will be multiple Major winners before all is said and done, but right now they just don’t have the cachet.
The rest of the top players also are solid, but not particularly exciting: Carl Pettersson (18/1); Brandt Snedeker and Charl Schwartzel (25/1); Bill Haas (28/1); David Toms, Sergio Garcia and Tim Clark (33/1); and Frederik Jacobson, Henrik Stenson, Nick Watney and Nicholas Colsaerts (40/1).
This is the type of tournament that strikes me as anyone’s to win. Heck, there’s a US Open and Master’s Champion in Angel Cabrera in the field, listed at 200/1.

It’s a tough one to pick but I like the chances of a few players. Carl Pettersson has had a very consistent year and played well at the PGA last week.
Brendon De Jonge has been knocking on the door a few times this year and might get his chance to break through in an open event.
