PGA TOUR: The Wyndham Championship
The PGA TOUR visits Greensboro, North Carolina for the Wyndham Championship. The former Greater Greensboro Open, it is a storied championship, dating to 1938. Ben Hogan won his first tournament there. Sam Snead won eight times. Charlie Sifford became the first African American to play a PGA TOUR tournament in the South at the 1961 edition.
Kim Joo-huyng is the defending champion.

DP World Tour aka European Tour: Off
The European Tour is off this week. The next tournament on the European Tour schedule is the ISPS Handa World Invitational August 17 – 20.
ISPS Handa defending champions are Ewen Ferguson and Maja Stark.
