Open Masters 2010 Round Three Thread

Listening to the Masters coverage before the TV starts …

Couples has gone birdie birdie.

Woods has a birdie on one.

Watson is -1 today.

Mickelson birdied on 2.

Mickelson now is -2 and tied for the lead

Westwood birdies the first and has the lead again.

This is shaping up to be a great Saturday at the Masters.

Mickelson has fallen back to -7 with a bogey at 6.

Westwood is pulling away. He’s two shots clear of Poulter and three shots out of Woods and Mickelson.

Phil makes a lengthy par shot at 7. His stroke looks very good right now.

Tiger just bogeyed the Par 3 Fourth. His initial putt was ugly, blowing way past the hole.

Tiger has bogeyed 6 and 7, falling to -5. It’ll be interesting to see how he handles this emotionally.

Mickelson at -8 is all alone in second.

Kenny Perry has eagled the 13th and 15th to move into a tie for tenth.

Tiger is struggling. He’s +1 on the day and doesn’t look very happy.

Couples is still in the mix, at -5, but Westwood still is three shots clear of his next competitor, Poulter.

Phil just Eagled 13 to go to nine under, alone in 2nd and just two behind Westwood.

Woody, in the meantime, has four bogeys on his card.

Mickelson just Eagled the 14th, holing it from 139. The ball hit right, then spun into the hole. Amazing. He’s on a roll. Now just one back of Westwood at -10.

Couples just Eagled 15th to go to eight under, in third all by his lonesome.

Holy Cow!! What a weekend!!

Unbelievable. Phil came within an inch of eagling his third in a row.

Phil birdies to take the lead at -12.

Meanwhile, 60-year-old Tom Watson is +1 for the day. Not too bad for a guy who said he could no longer contend with the length at Augusta. He’s amazing.

Tiger has clawed his way back into a tie for third.

Phil with a three putt bogey. The magic is gone. Falls into a tie for first.

Westwood in trouble on the 18th in the fairway bunker.
