Darrell Crall, COO of the PGA of America, has been named chair of GOLF 20/20 for 2014.

GOLF 20/20 is a collaborative effort by the golf industry to increase participation, retention, involvement and interest in the game of golf. The organization was created in 2000 by the World Golf Foundation at the behest of industry leaders and PGA TOUR commissioner Tim Finchem.

Crall joined PGA of America as senior director of Golf 2.0, the PGA’s growth-of-the-game program. He was promoted to COO when Pete Bevacqua was named PGA of America CEO.

“It is an honor to be selected as chair and I’m excited to work closely with our industry’s leaders to grow the game of golf,” said Crall. “GOLF 20/20 began as a forum for our game’s leaders and will continue to be a vital meeting place for ideas and initiatives that affect the future of our sport.”

“Darrell’s extensive knowledge and leadership skills, especially in ways to grow golf, will benefit our mission of supporting the game worldwide,” said Steve Mona, chief executive officer of the World Golf Foundation, which administers GOLF 20/20. “He has a proven track record with several senior level positions at the PGA of America and we look forward to his leadership in 2014.”
