Pilot Metropolitan Fountain Pen

Even as writing — especially handwriting — becomes a lost, I find myself more attracted to the idea of crisp sheets of paper and fountain pens. I do much of my thinking and pre-writing with blank paper and a fountain pen.

One of my favorites is this Pilot Metropolitan. It is a great beginner’s pen, with excellent writing qualities at a terrific price point.

It would make a great small holiday gift.
