This summer, I’ve been on a mission: to play all of GolfWeek’s Top Ten Public Courses In Michigan. Checked off the list:
Arcadia Bluffs (website; review coming)
Tullymore (Tullymore Review)
Forest Dunes (Forest Dunes Review)
Black Lake (Black Lake Review)
Black Forest ( course website; review coming)
Angel’s Crossing ( Angel’s Crossing Review )
To go:
The Gailes
Treetops North
Grey Walls
Bay Harbor
I hope to get to The Gailes this week, and Bay Harbor and Treetops later this month. But Grey Walls is problematic. It’s in Marquette, Michigan, which is an eight hour drive from Ann Arbor. Four hours to the Mackinaw Bridge; then another leg equally as far.

Better play these courses quick! How do you guys handle having only a two-month long golf season? See you in Florida!

We in Michigan are a hardy lot. For me, golf season is March to December. But in the spring and fall, its likely I’ll be playing with a sweater, wool hat and gloves.
We send our aged and sickly to you.
I am not aged but have, quite often been accused of being sick. Not sure if that’s the same as sickly…actually, that word (sick) was used in a number of emails I received about yesterday’s blog. Hmmm, I wonder if most of those comments came from females?
