I think you’d be hard pressed to find a better price on a ball than the Precept Laddie X. In the 24 pack, these are 82 cents each (compared to $3.74 for the Pro V1).
The Precept Laddie X is a two-piece, softer ball, so it is likely appropriate only for slower swing speeds … but …
It also strikes me that this would be a good winter ball. A lower compression and softer feel should perform better in chilly weather.
Further, it has been my observation that players lose more balls in the winter. Layers of clothing, cold balls and lack of regular rounds make for erratic play. Thus, cheap balls are the way to go.
But a bargain is only a bargain if the product is acceptable. I know that the Precept Lady was all the rage a few years back; are the Laddies any good? If you’ve tried these, leave a comment.
