For some reason, I’ve always been interested in the travel aspect of professional golfers’ careers: how they choose the courses they play, how arrangements are made, how they live on the road … It is quite different from team sports like baseball, where the club makes all the arrangements and the players just need to show up. In addition to managing their game, pro gofers also need to be travel agents and small businessmen (unless they make enough to be able to pay someone else to manage such things).
