With Tiger dropping out of the Top 50, and Phil Mickelson flirting with irrelevance, I thought it might interesting to take a look at how the top ten of the World Golf Rankings have change since 2005

From 2005, none of the players in the top ten remain. From 2015, there are just two: Rory McIlroy, who climbed from ninth to first, and Jim Furyk, who remains at 7.
It has been a real changing of the guard.

The most surprising name not on the 2015 list? Rickie Fowler.
I know that I have been saying for 6 years that I thought that Tiger would never catch Jack… but I never expected him to stop winning completely. I am wondering with this short return and then possible re-injury if we may never be able to see him play well again. I hope that is not the case.
I may not be a big Tiger fan, but it was upsetting to see him have to dropout like that. And I don’t think it was a work (to use a Wrestling term). I think some of his other injuries have been works, but not this time.
