A look back at the 2011 RBC Heritage
Brandt Snedeker fired a final-round 7-under 64 to wipe out a six-stroke deficit (started T17) at the beginning of the day to Luke Donald and then defeated the current World No. 1 with a par-4 on the third playoff hole. It represented the 11th playoff at the RBC Heritage and first of Snedeker’s career. Snedeker’s 64 tied Stewart Cink (2004) and Brian Gay (2009) for the lowest finish by a winner in tournament history. It was his second lowest final-round score on TOUR, one shy of the 63 he carded in the final round of the 2007 Wyndham Championship on the way to his first PGA TOUR win.

Brandt Snedeker set to defend at Harbour Town
Winner of the Tartan Jacket in 2011, given annual to the RBC Heritage winner.
Earned his second-career win in his 129th start on TOUR at the 2011 RBC Heritage. Has since added a third win, defeating Kyle Stanley with a par on the second extra hole at the 2012 Farmers Insurance Open.
Prior to winning in 2011, had missed the cut at the RBC Heritage in his previous two starts (2009 and 2010). In his other three starts, he finished T47/2005, T16/2007 and T53/2008.
Hoping to join Payne Stewart (1989-90), Davis Love III (1991-92) & Boo Weekley (2007-08) as repeat winners.
Looking to keep 18-year streak intact, as no defending champion has missed the cut at the RBC Heritage since Davis Love III in 1993.
Davis Love III to make 27th start at The Heritage
2012 U.S. Ryder Cup Captain is a five-time Heritage champion returns to Harbour Town for the 27th consecutive year, a streak which began with a T41 finish in 1986.
Included in his 26 previous starts are 11 top-10, 13 top-25 finishes and just five missed cuts.
Won 25 percent of his 20 TOUR victories at The Heritage (1987, 1991, 1992, 1998 and 2003).
2012 Rookie class
Of the 26 rookies in the 2012 class:
John Huh is No. 19 while Sang-Moon Bae is No. 25 in the FedExCup through the Masters. Both are scheduled to tee it up at Harbour Town this week.
18 of the rookies were under the age of 30 as of January 1.
10 of the rookies were 25 or younger as of January 1.
Youngest rookie is Seung-yul Noh, who will turn 21 in May and is scheduled to appear at the RBC Heritage.
Making his first start at the RBC Heritage, J.J. Killeen was the 2011 Nationwide Tour Player of the Year highlighted by back-to-back wins at the Utah Championship presented by Utah Sports Commission (last week of July) and the Cox Classic presented by Lexus of Omaha (first week of August).
Double heart transplant recipient Erik Compton earned his PGA TOUR card for 2012 after finishing No. 13 on the Nationwide Tour money list in 2011.

As the PGA TOUR nears the $2 billion mark in charitable giving, The RBC Heritage remains a leader of giving back to communities. Since 1987, the Heritage Classic Foundation has distributed more than $22 million to numerous nonprofit organizations dedicated to helping people throughout South Carolina, including $1.25 million in 2011.
