The study compared TiVo the viewing data with voter registrations of 186,000 households.
The cliche about “country club” Republicans seems to apply here. I am not as sure what to make of the Democrat-cartoon connection.

Sounds like spurious correlations to me. I’m guessing there’s a demographic difference in tivo ownership across the two groups. (e.g. more families with children in the Democratic owners)
