I recently had the chance to try out a Golfboard for a round at Boyne Highlands’ The Moor course.
Although I was skeptical at first, I found that the golfboard is remarkably stable; I never felt as though it would tip. Steering it took about half a hole to figure out. If you have ever been on skis or a snowboard, you know how to maneuver a golfboard. Just shift your weight through your feet in the direction you want to turn.
Golfboarding is a lot of fun. It has all the advantages of walking (minus the health benefits), without the effort. If more courses had these available, I think that it would go a long way toward attracting the younger crowd to the game.
