Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail Championship Winners and History

New for 2019 on the Web.Com Tour is the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail Championship.

The tournament will be played at the trail’s Senators Course in Prattville Alabama. It is the tour’s eleventh partnership with the Trail, which hosted the Web.Com Tour Championship from 1997 to 2005 on four different courses.

The tournament will feature 156 players competing for a $550,000 purse.

Alabama’s Robert Trent Jones Trail consists of 468 holes of golf at eleven sites across the state. Most were nominally designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr. (there is some small controversy over how much work he actually did on the courses that bear his name). The Trail was the brainchild of Dr. David Bronner, CEP of the Retirement Systems of Alabama, cho conceived it as a plan to both diversify investments and to help the state.
