We already knew that Tiger Woods would not be making a triumphant return to the Buick Invitational at Torrey Pines. Now, it seems that Rocco Mediate has pulled out for “personal reasons.”
Call me cynical, but now that Tiger’s no longer sponsored by Buick, I have some doubt that he will ever return to that Tournament. It follows the Dubai Tournament, where he has a contract to build a course, and he surely will add another tournament that aligns with one of his sponsors.
