Rocket Mortgage Classic Adds Matsuyama To Field
Hideki Matsuyama has committed to play the Rocket Mortgage Classic June 27-July 2 at Detroit Golf Club.
Matsuyama (26th in the OWGR) joins Sungjae Im (19), Chris Kirk (38), K.H. Lee (48) and Taylor Moore (50) as recent commits.
Earlier commitments include Justin Thomas (15), Max Homa (7), Tony Finau (12), Justin Thomas (15), Collin Morikawa (18), Tom Kim (21) and Keegan Bradley (24).
The Rocket Mortgage Classic now has 12 of the top 50 players in the world rankings committed, including eight within the top 30.
The majority of the tournament’s 156-player field will be confirmed as final on Friday, June 23, with the likely addition of final player exemptions to complete the field just before the beginning of tournament week. Four players will earn entry through an open qualifier on Monday, June 26.
