New Year, new prices. The RocketBallz driver which sold for $399 last season is now on sale at Amazon for $199. This cycle of annual releases followed by drastic prices cuts is a bit ridiculous. It tells me two things. One: clubs have a tremendous markup. Two: manufacturers over produce at the initial price. If the price had a logical relationship to quantity demanded and quantity supplied, these clubs would be scarce as hen’s teeth right now. But they’re not. Many will no doubt end up at places like Rock Bottom Golf and Maple Hill Golf. You can find vast bins of last year’s clubs at the Michigan golf shows in the late winter/early spring.
