Saturday Morning Foursomes Final Results Ryder Cup 2012

A little belatedly, but more for the archives, here are the Saturday Morning foursomes results for the 2012 Ryder up

  • Justin Rose and Ian Poulter win 1 up over Bubba Watson and Webb Simpson

  • Keegan Bradley and Phil Mickelson win 7&6 over Lee Westwood and Luke Donalc

  • Jason Dufner and Zach Johnson win 2&1 over Nicholas Colsaerts and Sergio Garcia

  • Jim Furyk and Brandt Snedeker win 1 up over Rory McIlroy and Graeme McDowell

The Bradley/Mickelson win was record setting. That pair just could do no wrong. There’s no doubt we’ll seem them again in the President’s Cup next year.

    1. Keegan and Phil have been outstanding, especially Keegan. It probably makes for the argument why he wasn’t included in the Presidents Cup late last year here in Australia.

Although the USA still got the win Keegan seems to really thrive on this type of competition.

    2. Ok- DL3 makes first big mistake of the Ryder Cup.

Why do you rest Keegan/Phil, especially to play Tiger/Steve?

Keegan and Phil only played 12 holes, they had plenty of time to rest before playing another 12-14 holes.  Instead choosing to play Steve (who is weakened/hurt?) and Tiger, and they have played more holes in the last two days than anyone.

Also, Tiger’s Ryder Cup record is turning to poo poo.  All the Steve/Tiger is a great team?  0-3.  Tiger’s record goes from 13-14-2 to 13-17-2.  And his record in the partner events: 9-17-1.
