THE SCOTTSDALE GOLF VACATION THAT GOLFERS ARE RAVING ABOUT
Over the years, the team at Golf Trip Junkie have successfully created several different golf vacation packages at top U.S. golf destinations such as Pinehurst, Kiawah Island, Pebble Beach, and of course, Scottsdale, AZ. With all of these destinations, there are always golf packages that seem to stand out the most for folks, which is no different with Scottsdale, where one particular package we offer consistently receives extremely positive feedback—the 4 Night, 6 Round Scottsdale Top Seller golf package.
Named appropriately, Golf Trip Junkie’s 4 Night, 6 Round Scottsdale Top Seller golf package is a massive hit for many reasons, and keeps repeating itself with many of the golfers we send to Scottsdale, so much so that they rave about it. Why do they rave about it? Quite simply, it checks off many of the important factors that golfers go through when selecting a top-quality golf vacation—great lodging, great golf, and great price—essentially, fantastic overall value!
Here is what makes this Scottsdale golf vacation a big hit with customers of Golf Trip Junkie . . .
GREAT LODGING—HYATT HOUSE SCOTTSDALE/OLD TOWN
Many golfers, when traveling, are satisfied with staying in standard guest rooms for the simple reason that they typically will not be spending much time in their hotel room. For us, at Golf Trip Junkie and our own personal experience, the quality of golf is very important on a golf vacation, but equally important is the time spent together following a day of golf. When in groups of four golfers or eight golfers, for example, the benefit and enjoyment on any golf vacation comes from the ability to hang out together all under one roof. Hence, the Hyatt House Scottsdale/Old Town sets the standard. All suites at Hyatt House are perfect, comfortable, and fully equipped, therefore, ideal for any group size.
The favorite among our customers is the Quad Suite, with a bed configuration of 2-Double Beds and 2-Twin Beds, full kitchen suite with sectional sleeper sofa in the living area, as well as daily complimentary hot buffet breakfast with a cook-to-order omelet station. With these amenities, along with several others, you can see why this is a popular spot for Golf Trip Junkie groups to put up their feet, relax, and reminisce together following their day of golf.
GREAT GOLF—THE PERFECT COMPLIMENT OF MEMORABLE GOLF COURSES
The golf for this particular golf package starts on the arrival day. After collecting luggage and golf gear, golfers make the short 15 minute drive to Talking Stick Golf Club for a twilight round on the O’odham Course. If planned accordingly, getting a twilight round of golf that has a very good chance of finishing is a reasonable expectation. This Coore & Crenshaw design, in our opinion, is perfect for the first round of a golf vacation, especially following a flight. The fairways are wide and relatively flat, perfect for getting any cobwebs out of the swing. Essentially, it is a great way to start the golf vacation without sacrificing quality. Although the O’odham Course is a flat golf course, do not underestimate it, as it is some of the most fun we have had playing golf!
The next day of golf is, depending on scheduling availability of tee times, will be 36-holes at Verrado Golf Club or 36-holes at We-Ko-Pa Golf Club. For the sake of this article, we will start with the full day of golf at Verrado.
Both courses at Verrado are highly rated in Arizona, in particular, the newer of the two—The Victory Course, which opened February 2017. In fact, just a few short days after it opened in February the golf team at Golf Trip Junkie had a group of golfers play it, and by all accounts, they absolutely loved it! In fact, this has become not only a mainstay on their 2018 Scottsdale golf vacation, but other groups as well. The Founders Course at Verrado Golf Club, also a Tom Lehman design, is equally challenging and enjoyable. The added bonus to a day of golf at Verrado are the extras—a meal selection per golfer in the Verrado Grille or the Cliff House, as well as one on-course snack.
A round of golf on Quintero Golf Club follows the memorable day at Verrado. Quintero Golf Club has been a mainstay at the top of golf course rankings in Arizona. This Rees Jones design is masterfully architected and carved out of the lush Arizona desert. Simply put, Jones’ Quintero design is described as the ‘Purest Golf Experience’ in the Southwest that promises to test every club in the bag, as well as every facet of the golfer’s ability, no matter the skill-level.
WE-KO-PA SAGUARO COURSE—TOPS THE LIST OF MEMORABLE GOLF EXPERIENCES
The final day of golf on Golf Trip Junkie’s Scottsdale Top Seller golf package includes 36 holes at We-Ko-Pa Golf Club, where golfers will face two different challenges on two distinctly different golf courses.
The Cholla Course—A Scott Miller design, is a real treat starting from the opening, elevated tee shot with water lining the left side of the fairway. This dog-leg left first hole is sure to get the juices flowing while standing on the first tee. The Cholla course does not let up either, requiring golfers to hit straight drives and keeping the ball in the air for their approach shots. It is a challenge that is widely loved, not only by Arizona residents, but by the traveling golfer as well.
The Saguaro Course—A Coore & Crenshaw design is the, in our opinion, the perfect way to end your golf vacation. Consistently ranked #1 in Arizona for public and resort golf courses, it as a pure test of golf that will excite golfers of all skill-levels. We like to think of the Saguaro Course as ‘Scotland in the Desert’, with run up approach shots, and tee boxes close by to greens, it is the perfect way to describe the Saguaro Course. With wide fairways and great looks off each tee, golfers will be feel as though they can just bomb away with the driver, in particular, the final two holes, with a couple fantastically challenging and fun ways to finish off a round of golf.
