Sears Launches Weir Golf(TM) Men’s Fall Fashion Collection

  Available exclusively at Sears

  TORONTO, Sept. 6 /CNW/ – Seven-time PGA Champion and 2003 Masters
Champion, Mike Weir, today debuted his Fall men’s wear collection, Weir Golf,
at Sears on Robson with a meet and greet autograph session with his fans.
The Weir Golf apparel line is designed with the direction of Mike Weir
himself, by a golfer, for a golfer, with a golfer’s lifestyle in mind. Pieces
are stylish and comfortable and are designed to be worn on the green or for
casual off-the-course activities.
The 2005 Fall Weir Golf collection is divided into three separate
categories: Sportswear, Golfwear and Activewear. Each collection embodies the
style and sophistication of Mike Weir – a classic colour palette, premium
quality fabrics and innovative design.
“Mike Weir continues to build his reputation internationally as one of
the world’s best golfers,” says Brent Hollister, Chairman and CEO, Sears
Canada Inc. “We are proud of our association with him and with the success of
the brand which was no doubt attributed to its quality and value together with
the style and excellence associated with its namesake.”
Sportswear: knits, sports shirts, sweaters and pants that can be mixed
and matched to create an easy yet modern look. The colour palette is grounded
in black, grey and blue and is accented with aubergine, palm leaf green and
amber gold. Fabrics include Cotton and Pima Cotton in the knits and sports
shirts, Merino Wool, Cashmere, and Silk/Cotton blends in the sweaters, and a
Stretch Corduroy and Stretch Denim in pants.
Golfwear: golf specific items, primarily knit tops, with clean styling
suitable to wear both on an off the green as well as some warmer layering
pieces. Included is the “Cool Effect” feature on some of the knits in this
group which use moisture wicking technology to enhance comfort and
performance. The colour palette includes basic black, navy, and jute with
lime, soft pink and cayenne accents. Fabrics include Double Mercerized Cotton,
Pima Cotton, and Cotton/Polyester blends which feature the “Cool Effect”
technology.
Activewear: small group of basic pieces designed for comfort and
performance centered around a group of short and long sleeve printed tees in a
bright colour palette of orange, cobalt, poppy, sunflower, and spring green.
Fabrics are primarily Cotton and Cotton/Spandex blends.

  1. I wonder if this line will be available in America or just Canada? I usually don’t think of Sears for golf apparel but I do like Mike Weir. I’ll have to at least check it out.
