Second Winter Has Arrived In Michigan

Foolish me. I had a momentary fantasy that the thaw and warmer weather at the end of February signaled the beginning of spring. Instead, what we received here in Michigan (and in parts east) was another dose of January-like weather. Forecasts for this next week are a woeful tale of cold, snow and freezing rain. It’s Second Winter.

In maintaining my months-played streak, I have always thought of January and February as the months that will end my pursuit. My round in February extended the streak of months with rounds played in Michigan to 37.  We’re now midway through March; snow is on the ground and a warming trend is not in sight.
