This Saturday evening, the seventh edition of “The Match” will feature Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy against Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas in a twelve hole match play, best ball format.
The Match 7 will be broadcast from Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida at 7 pm on TNT.
The Match is a perfect example of the sort of “silly season” event that used to be a feature of professional golf before the PGA TOUR’s wrap around season. Fortunately, the TOUR will return to a calendar year season in 2024. I hope that brings back some of the more casual events in the traditional silly season.
Here are a few odds courtesy of SportsBetting.ag.
