The 18th Hole at Highland Meadows GC, site of the 2012 Jamie Farr Toledo Classic
After three straight days of clouds and rain (but thankfully no lightning), the weather is absolutely perfect on the last day of the 2012 Jamie Farr Toledo Classic. As of this writing So Yeon Ruy is in first (after five), with a thirteen under. She’s two shots clear of Hee Kyung Seo, IK Kim and Jiyai Shin.
Natalie Gulbis is not in contention, but still draws a sizable crowd. Spectators were two deep around the greens while she putted. Large groups followed other recognizable names, such as Brittany Lang, Brittany Lincicome, and Paula Creamer. None of those are in contention,e either. As with previous days, there are groups playing in nearly total isolation.

The bleachers were full at the par 3 second.
Attendance was very good this morning. After three days of rain, I’m sure the tournament sponsors are hoping that the perfect 70 degree weather and sunny skies brings out the crowds. Highland Meadows is a terrific place to take in a golf tournament, thanks to the numerous shady stands of trees lining the fairways. You can just plop down a chair in the shade of a tree and watch the players parade by.
