The beautiful TaylorMade P790 irons are designed to have the looks of a players iron, with features that make it usable by aspirational golfers. The irons feature a wrapped face construction, with a hollow cavity filled with SpeedFoam. This is designed to generate ball speed as well as optimizing sound and feel.
The face is 1.7mm thick, with a re-implementation of Taylormade’s long standing Inverted Cone Technology. The redesign created reduced face thickness at the face’s edges, this increasing flexibility across the face.
Strategically place internal metal-injection-molded tungsten weights help with placement of the center of gravity, and with improving moment of intertia.
