The Biggest PGA Tour Winners Of The Past Ten Years

The high-stakes that comes with golf at the highest level is unsurpassable. The best players in the world walk away will tens of millions of dollars for their performances. Over the course of the last ten years, the prize money in the events that are on the circuit have increased, which means players are taking home far more than they were in the ten years prior to 2010.

Betting on golf has been huge over the past number of years, and many punters can now pinpoint the majors in which certain outsiders may feel like they have a chance. However, these players have earned the most over the past decade, and will possibly plan on taking a trip to Vegas to celebrate.

Dustin Johnson

One man that will be looking for an unparalleled success in 2020 is Dustin Johnson. The American will be looking for his 13th consecutive year of winning at least one PGA Tour event. That remarkable fact has been the overwhelming reason why he has taken home more prize money than any other player on the circuit since 2010.

Only two other players in the history of the tour can claim to boast the same achievement; Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods. In the nine years before 2020, he pocketed a cool $57 million from the PGA Tour events. It is also worth remembering that that number also doesn’t include the prize money he took home from the FedExCup. If that money was also included, he would be closer to $70 million in prize money.

Rory McIlroy

McIlroy enjoyed a decade to remember between 2010 and 2019. He ended the decade by being crowned as number one of the money list for 2020. Over the course of the decade, he has collected around $46 million from PGA events. That sees him finish the decade above Justin Rose and Jason Day. The Northern Irishman claimed $15 million for his FedExCup performance in 2019 and $10 million for the same achievement in 2016.

Over the past ten years, McIlroy has finished in the top ten of the money list on six occasions. The lowest that he finished was 41st during the 2013 season. He has topped that list on three occasions.

Jordan Spieth

Following McIlroy in the list of top earners was Rose and Day, while Matt Kuchar was the fifth-highest earner. However, in sixth place is Jordan Spieth, which is remarkable considering that he only played on the PGA circuit for seven years of the decade. The American earned over $40 million in PGA tour events, while he was second in the overall tables as he pocketed $15 million for his FedExCup performance.

During his time on the PGA circuit, he has topped the money list on one occasion; back in 2015, as he won two Majors in that year. However, he ended 2020 In 51st place, with many of his big earnings coming between 2013 and 2017.
